Summary

On this website, we present an overview of our practice, our policies and our personnel. No written information can answer every question, or replace face-to-face communication with our staff. Carl H. Tyndall, C. P. O.

A native of New Bern, North Carolina, Mr. Tyndall is the Clinical and Administrative Director of Orthotics and Prosthetics and president of our corporation. He is a V.A. Qualified Prosthetist and Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (C. P. O.) recognized by the American Board for Certification.

Mr. Tyndall entered the field in 1972, and went on to receive his educational training in orthotics and prosthetics at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. He established Carolina Ortho Prosthetics in 1977 to provide orthotic and prosthetic care to the people of Eastern North Carolina. He became a Certified Prosthetist in 1978 and a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist in 1981.

Mr. Tyndall is a member and past president of the North Carolina Society of Orthotists and Prosthetists, and a member of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists.


Samuel Archino, C. O.

Mr. Archino is the Clinical Director of Orthotics at Carolina Ortho Prosthetics. Realizing the personal satisfaction this field offered him, he furthered his education by completing required studies in New York and Tennessee.

Mr. Archino brings with him a wide range of specialties including: Lower Extremity Plastic and Metal Systems, Spinal Orthotics (including Milwaukee-Boston Orthoses, LSO flexion jackets and custom body jackets), children's orthotic care and development of prostheses for the partial foot amputee.

Mr. Archino comes to us from Syracuse, New York where he began as orthotist in 1970 and joined Carolina Ortho Prosthetics in 1987 as an ABC board eligible orthotist, certification completed in 1990.
